I just realized something.
For the first time in 24 years, I have my birthday to myself. My sister was born on my 3rd birthday and since then we’ve shared Nov. 19 as our birthday. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind - I never forget her birthday. Works for me.
Well, out here on the western front, it’s Nov. 19, but stateside it’s still the 18th. So ha-HA I have (at least part of) a day to myself.

So we got to have dinner with the Admiral of the 7th Fleet aboard the USS Blue
Ridge.
Pretty cool stuff. Although we didn’t get to talk to the Admiral other than
exchanging "Welcome Aboard" and "Why, don’t mind if I do…."
It was really neat to hang out and mingle with the line-side folks. Dignitaries
from the Indian (DNF) Navy were present, along with a host of other individuals
from various ships, boats and other platforms.
Rachel, as always, was beautiful in her "Higgins" outfit and I was
looking rough as usual….(this picture was taken after a few glasses of wine).

“This coffee tastes like broken glass, man.”
