In an otherwise unproductive day, despite my sincerest attempts to actually
produce some functioning code, coherent value-added thoughts to share with my
master’s class, or anything other than ‘ole #2 from Zoe, I did manage
to learn and confirm (respectively) two things.
• The Diffie-Hellman
Key Exchange, though it does have vulnerabilities, is a beautiful thing.
My simple mind, while able to utilize the concept is still baffled by its simplicity.
• One (1) Rancilio Silvia Espresso Machine, One (1) Rancilio Rocky Grinder,
One (1) 2.2lb bag ($38 here on our island) of Lavazza Grand Espresso beans,
and some nice water will yield a double-shot of espresso that will inspire one
to ask "Can I get a A-men-uh?"
from anyone in the room, including the dog.
Howdy folks. Not a whole lot to report here. I’m trying to keep up some momentum posting at least a short blurp for your “bew-in pledgah”. I did (of *course*) take some more pix-o-zoe. Here’s a keeper
methinks:

We’ve tried advertising, late fee amnesty, special requests, even video rental,
but we still can’t get people to come to the Merizo Public Library. Why?
So be prepared - between my new lens and our new dog, you’re going to have - you guessed it - lots of pictures of our dog.
heh.
So with that in mind, may i present:

Well! Zoe is back from the Vet, recovered, and raring to go… We thought she was just extremely laid-back, but it appears she was sick from the time we met her. Apparently, she is powered by some sort of fission reactor that was being drained by the parasites she had. We are now in 100% full energy production now, although we apparently can still be calm if we really want to be… We’re attempting to reverse-engineer the animal - check back soon for more details on this.
As a reward for all my geekdom last semester, I bought myself a new lens. It’s
a Canon EOS 50mm f1.4 - and it’s a madman. A friend from work in DC let me borrow
his one weekend and I knew I must have one. It’s been a year and a half since
then - I’ve waited long enough.
A friend here is encouraging me to sell some of my work - if for no other reason
than to finance my photography habit. She seems to think it’s worth something
to at least some people, so maybe I’ll give it a shot.
I figured I’d give the lens a try, so (and apologies for the background - this
was just a "test" of the lens) here’s Faces of Zoe: Boredom, Complacency,
Attentiveness, and ‘The Walrus’

So for some reason Zoe was a little slow today. And she didn’t poop or pee that much (i can’t believe i actually paid attention to that…gawd). She didn’t eat a bite or drink a drop. I spent a good portion of the morning with half my body in her kennel, trying to get her to drink. No love. I even mixed in some Gatorade with the water to make it more appealing. Nada. So we called for an appointment at the vet.
Well…Zoe has worms. As well as some sort of “Coxy-blah blah” in her intestinal tract. So….she’s at the vet tonite and we’re sad ‘cuz she’s not here.
Zoe was a CHAMP when the vet tech came in and even stuck a lubricated speculum of some sort in her little pooper - not once - not twice, but three times! She just stood there and took it like….well…i’ll spare you the metaphor. She was great.
We have a great vet that seems very nice and very concerned for our little one’s health and well-being. She came in, looked her over and then gave her a big kiss before delivering the bad news. So, she’s getting all kinds of meds and fluids tonite. Hopefully we’ll pick her up tomorrow.
Further Bulletins as Events Warrant.
