Captives

We’re watching Gunner while Pablo is out of town, so he and Zoe get their time
together and I get a captive audience for some experimental photos….

First and Second

So Zoe and Gunner participated in their first dog show! They were in different
categories, Zoe in the ‘Boonie’ and Gunner in the ‘Hound’.

The competition was fierce,

all characteristics we accounted for….

and in the end….Zoe got 2nd place!

We were all very proud!

…and Gunner got FIRST!

The Land of the Lost…..Pond

So we went on a ‘boonie stomp’ the other day - and decided to take Zoe. Rachel’s
work buddy, Bob, joined us - Pablo came along too and brought Gunner, so Zoe had
some company. We went to the Lost Pond, which is pretty much a hike around some
outcroppings (into the ocean about chest deep) over razor coral (yeah…think
perforation here) and then along a beach and into the jungle for a bit.

Zoe and Gunner did great.

We took breaks often so we could enjoy the scenery…

Anybody gotta pee? (heh)

When we got into the jungle, Zoe was a bit cautious at first, but took right to
it after a bit.

When we finally got to the Lost Pond, Gunner and Pablo jumped right in (after
some long coercing). Gunner didn’t love the water, so he clung to daddy.

When it was time to leave, we were unsure of our path back to the water. Zoe knew
exactly where to go and took us directly there!
