Here’s something I just don’t get.

The Strokes.

The lead vocal track sounds as if it’s been recorded through a telephone. It’s like they REALLY phoned it in!

But somehow, *somehow* it’s good. And not just kind of good. It’s real good.

It’s like having all the best art supplies in the world and putting out nothing but crap. But give these guys a couple of crayons and they’ve got a damned Rembrandt.

“Strokes are on line 2.”

“Stand by for click track, guys.”
